The Okies Families

Although the Okies do not appear as good people, there family values and morals are correct most of the time. The Okies family structure is generally an extended family which means the grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins all live together. This is important for working purposes in Oklahoma, because on the farms there would be more workers available. Traveling west was hard for many families because they were use to the normal life in Oklahoma. Traveling west often tore families apart due to the adversity and poverty the families faced.
